Health and Wellbeing

Identifying local health issues and their effect are central to the Health and Wellbeing theme. This includes identifying the least healthy and those at risk of poor health and provide a range of interventions including ‘healthy eating/ cooking; physical activity; smoking cessation/ alcohol awareness, mental health and sexual awareness’. Wider issues such as accessing services and identifying social and cultural determinants are also an important aspect of this theme. The Health and Wellbeing theme links closely with the Welsh Assembly Government’s Community Food Co-ops; it also promotes the arts, sport and cultural activities linked to physical fitness.
