Llangeinor - Your Community DVD

The Llangeinor Partnership members were looking for a way to demonstrate to the local community what changes had taken place since the inception of Communities First. Most partnership members felt it was quite difficult to try and ‘explain’ to their friends and neighbours what Communities First was all about and how it could help local people in a variety of ways.
After some discussion on the best way to inform the wider community, we decided that a DVD could be produced to highlight the work of local people in running activities and facilities for the community.
The DVD was filmed over a short period of time with virtually no direction from our team. The film team were given the contact details of the group leaders and arranged to meet up and film their activity. So the partnership had no control over what would be said or filmed!! The completed DVD was then distributed to every household in the ward. The feedback has been really positive with many local people commenting how ‘special’ they felt the DVD was. Some not realising what was even available locally. The groups have benefited with increased numbers attending and generally more support for their work in the community
